Online Learning Paths
TechyKids can be done at home (or anywhere!) It is perfect for those who want to learn technology skills. Below are the products we recommend for individuals for ages 3-105 years. As there is a lower age limit for some of the tools, there is no upper age limit as the skills TechyKids teach are relevant, creative, technical, and uses critical thinking. The skills learned and the tools below can level to wherever your abilities are and grow to.
If you have the tool already you can just get the online course. If you are new to the tool entirely (as most are), we recommend getting started with one of the Virtual or Physical tools, combined with the applicable TechyKids Class.

TechyKids Jr. for Primary Kids
Even before being able to use a computer, kids can learn robotics and technology! Check out options for kids 3-7 years.
1) TechyKid Intro Courses
Ages 7-99 | 10-30 minutes | Starter Class
Learning from TechyKids requires a different mindset, and understanding how to use our innovative learning system. You’ll learn how to use this course with the first video, and then you’ll be learning the ground rules of the TechyKids program.
Ages 7-99 | 40 minutes | Starter Class
This course is the TechyKids introductory class for all students in classrooms. It will instill the needed classroom culture, emphasizing respect for one another, collaboration, creativity, and embracing failure and innovation.
2) Intro to Robotics Courses
Ages 7-12| 5 hours | Beginner
Create your own interactive animal robot project while learning all about robotics, and the Thymio robot. Learn about sensors and robotics, visual programming, building off of the Thymio robot with LEGO, and even create your own movie starring your new robot animal!
Materials: Thymio Robot, Remote
Prerequisite: TechyKids Intro Course
Ages 7-12 | 3 hours | Beginner
Program a virtual Thymio robot on the web. Learn about sensors and robotics, visual programming, and how to see real javascript code. You’ll love the creativity and technical skills needed to create an awesome Thymio robot web project!

2c) Robotics with Thymio Simulator
Ages 8-12 | 4 hours | Beginner
A simulator is a virtual device that you can use when you don’t have a physical robot. Instead of using a real Thymio Robot this course teaches how to set up the Thymio simulator and interact with it. The simulator is great if you don’t have a Thymio robot, but it does have its limitations.

3) Intermediate Robotics & Coding Course
Ages 9-13 | 5 hours | Beginner
Create your own invention while learning about coding the Thymio robot. Learn about invention and even create your own movie showing off your new innovation! It builds upon the knowledge of the beginner course. You’ll love the creativity and technical skills needed to create an awesome Thymio robotic invention!

4) More Courses
Thymio can be programmed with Chromebooks! This code editor uses Blocky and Javascript with a visual simulator. You can then send your programs to an actual Thymio Robot!
5) Tinkercad 3D Modeling
Use Tinkercad to create 3D Models on the computer! If you have a 3D printer you can design your creations with Tinkercad.
Learn about user interaction design, Scratch programming, and all about the Makey Makey, an invention kit for the 21st century. Create an interactive game or experience by programming in Scratch and building a physical-electrical device with the Makey Makey.
